For me, red poppies are about freedom, the wild woods, courageous (some may say fanciful) childhood daydreams.
They make me think of the edges of balmy sunlit fields, gypsy caravans of wild women.

They are rather more demure, hand painted with acrylic on a section of oak whisky barrel wood. But pretty, and a tad wild all the same.

Varnished.
