About

Gill Lyon is a Scottish artist creating whimsical wildlife art inspired by the quiet magic of nature and the landscapes of Scotland.
Working across wood, canvas and carefully selected natural surfaces, Gill’s pieces explore the emotional presence of animals — from Highland cows and wild horses to delicate butterflies and woodland birds. Each work is created by hand, often on reclaimed or character-rich materials, allowing the natural grain and texture to become part of the story.
Her art sits somewhere between realism and reverie — capturing not only how wildlife looks, but how it feels.
Alongside her original paintings, Gill creates small-batch hand-painted wooden jewellery, transforming miniature works of art into wearable keepsakes. Every piece is individually painted, never mass-produced.
Rooted in Scottish heritage and a deep respect for the natural world, Gill’s work is collected by those who value craftsmanship, storytelling and art that carries a sense of everyday magic.
